Community Partnerships with Youth Inc. CPY INC provides tools to train youth in such areas as trusteeship, philanthropy, and organizational and community leadership as well as opportunities for youth to develop their trusteeship potential. Constitutional Rights Foundation Promoting civic engagement and participatory democracy through a classroom-based, service-learning model of youth civic engagement, CRFC sponsors student programs, provides teacher training and develops curricula. Corporation for National Service Works with state commissions, nonprofits, faith-based groups, schools and other organizations to engage Americans of all ages in service to their communities through three major service initiatives: AmeriCorps, Learn and Serve America and the National Senior Service Corps. Do Something A national nonprofit that inspires young people and gives them the tools for positive change, offering workshops and trainings to help communities and organizations involve and support young people as leaders. Funders’ Collaborative on Youth Organizing A collective of national, regional and local foundations and youth organizing practitioners dedicated to advancing youth organizing as a strategy for youth development and social change. Minnesota Toolkit for Giving The “Youth Philanthropy Resources” section of the Toolkit for Giving includes information about teaching philanthropy in addition to resources on community service, youth as funders and “giving stories” written by Minnesota philanthropists. Innovation Center for Community and Youth Development Offers technical assistance and training in urban and rural settings, aimed at building the capacity of individuals and organizations to carry out positive youth and community development work at the local level. National Youth Leadership Council Works to build vital, just communities with young people through service-learning, offering trainings, publications and other resources to help young people become leaders in their communities. Search Institute An independent, nonprofit, nonsectarian organization whose mission is to advance the well-being of adolescents and children by generating knowledge and promoting its application. Youth in Philanthropy Canada Includes extensive resources on youth grantmaking councils, including training and orientation manuals, policies and procedures. Youth Leadership Institute Provides technical assistance and training to promote youth engagement in social change on topics such as youth development, youth philanthropy and Youth-Adult Partnerships. Youth on Board Provides resources to build mutually respectful relationships between young people and adults and prepare young people to be leaders and decision-makers.
