Today there are more than 30 active youth philanthropy programs involving hundreds of young people ages 11 to 23 in Ohio. These young people give of their time, talents and treasure to serve their communities. Institutional sponsors for these programs are varied and include community and private foundations, United Ways, individual schools, universities, Jewish Community Federations, non-profit organizations and 4-H/Extension Services.
Thanks to the support of the W.K. Kellogg Foundation and KnowledgeWorks Foundation, on this site you will find: a list of reference books and articles on youth philanthropy; website links to other programs and resources; tips for forming youth philanthropy programs; and a non-exhaustive list of current youth philanthropy programs in Ohio.
